WebNovice "State Of The Union" Address

I would like to take the time to thank everyone, and as a little bonus to any
interested parties, supply you with some stats on WebNovice and talk about
the future of this magazine (which will remain FREE as long as we still run it.)

BTW The only compensation we receive are from a few small commissions,
recently we have participated in selling music CDs through the link on the
main page to raise additional funds. The CDs were donated by the staff and
readers. If you would like to donate a music CD to help out, please let us know.

WebNovice is a content driven website; the problem arising with content driven
sites, is that they are similar to your old sock/junk drawer, you get some new stuff
and its hard to keep everything from spilling all out. It isn't always easy putting
everything where it is easy to find or is the most convenient - but we try anyway!

The Future Of WebNovice
WebNovice Open Source Edition
Like some Open Source websites, we are going to allow our readers to
post their own articles and create their own vision of WebNovice.
We will continue to publish the regular version as well, and the Open Source
version will be cross linked.

WebNovice Pro Edition
Like everything, you can eventually "outgrow" it, such is WebNovice, and
for those who desire something more "Techie" we are now going to publish
a Tech Edition for Power Users. This magazine will cater to those who are
looking to polish their PC Kung-Fu.

WebNovice Strategic Partners
Its a dog-eat-dog world, and everyone can use some allies, so we have
recently teamed up with some associates, the first endeavor is ADDR.com
hosting which offers excellent deals to their customers.

WebNovice Portal
Auctions, Classifieds, News, Search Engine mega site.

Personal Touch
We will continue to answer emails and questions like we have in the past
and offer our help to our readers in anyway we can. In addition to this
we have started to take our part in the Linux Advocacy program; those
who are willing to pay postage can receive a free copy of Linux in the mail.
To find out more on this topic, please visit the Linux Giveaway Page.
Please try there first before writing us directly.

WebNovice Pledge
We will remain pop-up free as long as we have advertisers, that is our
promise ~ we need a promise from you our readers now to check out
these sponsors if they interest you in any way.

WebNovice Current Events
The Editor returns... After failing to find a replacement that met all the requirements
our current Editor has chosen to stay temporarily until one is found, no matter how
long it takes.
