How to avoid Macro viruses
To avoid Word or Excel viruses, have all attachments come in Adobe PDF format, which doesn't allow macros at all.
You can purchase Adobe Capture to make PDF documents, but it will set you back 250 bucks. However you can also get Aladdin Ghostscript for free!
If you still want to use Word & Excel documents you will need to patch your software to avoid macros using the "call" function. To do this you will need to install the patch available from Microsoft.

Of course there is always the common sense approach - Don't open any attachments until you have verified their contents!
