Letter From The
Editor
I offered some help the other day to what I
considered a somewhat "graphic ugly" page,
I won't name any names, but the response
I got back was anything but receptive.
This made me think - wow, has humanity come
to this? Are we doomed to live in a world
of discourteous people spouting out inflammatory
remarks?
And then I began to realize what is happening
to the Internet community, where flaming and
bashing other people is becoming habitual.
You certainly would think twice before cursing
someone on the street - because you could be
certain to get a fat lip. Well people think because
they are on the internet, they have a shield to
hide behind, and can be as rude as they like.
With all the nasty stuff that can happen
electronically, pretty soon people may rethink
this type of "hide behind mothers dress and
toss rotten tomatoes" logic. Hackers can
send malicious code, they can email bomb,
and DOS people.
A fair warning - the Internet isn't as anonymous
as you may think, even if you are using a nick.
Remember, we are all on this planet together, and
the better we treat each other, the happier our lives
will be! Think twice before writing something nasty
and hitting send.
Cheers,
