Our Brief Policy:
We do not maintain a list for marketing of any products, we do not
sell addresses of our visitors. Those who are account holders in our
free email program may receive information on products that are
included
ONLY within the body of our newsletter - we do not allow spamming
and at no time will we supply anyone a list of our account holders
email addresses for ANY reason. At no time will we email any
advertisements to our account holders.
Our Detailed Policy:
For each visitor to our Web site and its linked pages, our Web server automatically
recognizes no information regarding the domain or e-mail address. We collect aggregate
information on what pages visitors access and information volunteered by the visitor, such
as survey information and/or site registrations.
The information we collect is used for internal review and is then discarded, used to
improve the content of our Web site and not shared with other organizations for commercial
purposes.
When you supply your name and/or e-mail address when registering to access any of the
interactive services on this site, we do not gather that data for any other use than to
identify you when you access those services.
Surveys
Questionnaires or Surveys are conducted anonymously, no information
is kept on the person filling them out, only the results of the Survey
or Questionnaire; the results may or may not be made public.
Contests or Giveaways
This doesn't include contests, which only the name/state of the person
may be made public and the information collected will only be used to
award
the contest winner(s); or be posted on the site to confirm contest
results
or notify winners.
Credit Cards
We are an Amazon Associate and sell books at the WebNovice.com Bookstore on topics that we
think will interest our users. Amazon will ask you for certain personal information, such
as mailing address and credit card number, to fulfill your order. Amazon also has a
privacy policy and does not sell or rent information about its customers. WebNovice.com
does not receive any personally identifiable information about WebNovice.com Bookstore
customers from Amazon. The same applies for DigitalRiver which we sell
software through.
Cookies
We do not enable cookies and we do not collect personally identifiable information at our
web site. We periodically delete usage logs maintained by our servers.
Stipulations
We will provide information to authorities if our email account is
being used to conduct illegal activities and the authority has
presented the proper credentials. We do not tolerate SPAM and will
reserve the right to terminate accounts which are using our email
program to proliferate such activities.
Email will not be forwarded to authorities unless subpoenaed.
Obviously if you leave our site through a link, you are not guaranteed
these same rights and you should check their privacy statements before
submitting information to a third party.
Your privacy is important to us, and we believe that it is necessary
to retain this right and privilege; which is worth fighting to
